The new commander appointed on 12 May by President Biya has been installed by the Minister for Defense Edgard Alain Mebe Ngo’o. Colonel Alfred Mvondo Menyengue now heads the Air Force base 101 in Yaounde replacing his kinsman Colonel Martin Owona.
In a vigorous handshake, the Defense Minister conveyed his warm congratulations to Colonel Afred Mvondo. Speaking to the press after his installation, Colonel Mvondo Menyengue acknowledged having full awareness of the security challenges that engage all defense forces right now. The air base 101 is a support base to other external training in terms of logistics, maintenance and special missions.
