Gambia on her part has not been a regular participant, the team was banned for fraud in 2014.
The Mauritius Island has qualified once for the final round of the Africa Cup of Nations in 1974.
The tussle for the group ticket for the 2017 AFCON is expected to be between Cameroon and South Africa.
According to the schedule, Cameroon will play host to the Mauritius Island between 12 and 14 June 2015.
The national team later travels to Gambia in September for its second match and in March 2016 Cameroon will round off the qualifiers in Yaounde with the Bafana Bafana of South Africa.
As an innovation, the host country,Gabon will take part in the qualifiers but the results of their matches will not infer on the group classification.
