Charlotte Dipanda thrills Yaounde public

13/04/2015Cameroonian Afropop singer, Charlotte Dipanda has thrilled her fans in Yaounde with a grand musical concert organised during the weekend.

On Saturday 11th April 2015, the talented singer left her fans spell-bound in a close to two-hour musical performance to officially launch her third album entitled “Massa” at the Yaounde Multipurpose Sports Complex.
The artist sang songs from both her new and old albums and also rendered homage to her mentor Jeannot Hens who made her first record which was released in 2002.
The peak of the show was when Charlotte Dipanda introduced the popular tune “Coucou” and her voice was submerged by the chorus as the public joined in the singing, sending the artist into tears, overwhelmed with her fans’ zest.
Songs like “Ndolo-Bukate” and “Massa” exceptionally electrified the public as the images projected in both songs depicted love and hailed war victims, respectively.
Charlotte Dipanda closed the evening in grand style with the song “Elle n’a pas vu”, dedicated to those whose mothers failed to see them grow up and prosper.
At the end of the concert, fans could be seen with smiles as they expressed satisfaction with the artist’s performance.
The concert also featured some Cameroonian musicians like Papy Amza, Rose Erta and Lab’l.
Before the Yaounde event, Charlotte Dipanda sang at a concert in Douala on Friday 10th April 2015 and Paris, France on 8th March 2015 as part of activities dubbed “Massa Tour”, to launch her new album.
